Wondering what to pack? We can give you a few ideas. At 4600 feet elevation, Evergreen is at about 600 feet higher than Yosemite Valley. The weather is likely to be warm to hot during the day, and cool at night. You can find seasonal averages on the Evergreen site.

Here are a few of the essentials on our packing list:

• Sunscreen
• Hats and sunglasses
• Insect repellent
• Sensible shoes for walking to the ceremony site (it’s a 5-10 minute walk through the woods. Flats, wedges, sneakers, anything you want, but leave your Louboutins at home).
• Warm layers for cool evenings
• Mountain cocktail attire for the wedding
• Swimsuit for the pool and hot tub
• Snacks and beverages to enjoy during your stay. Evergreen is far away from pretty much anything else. While there is a general store with provisions, lunch foods, and beer, it can be pricey. Each cabin has a small refrigerator, so you can bring your own lunch foods, snacks, and anything else you might want to enjoy in the woods. Just be sure to bring everything out of your car and into your cabin, since Evergreen is in bear country.
