Accommodations

Evergreen Lodge is fully booked for our weekend. We are still holding several campsites at Dimond-O Campground, 1 mile down the road.

Check their website to see if there are any last-minute cancellations that become available.

Wedding camp for the weekend is the Evergreen Lodge, just outside the northwest entrance to Yosemite National Park, near Hetch Hetchy. All events will be held at the lodge, and we hope you’ll stay with us there for many reasons, the most important one being that we want to spend as much time with you as possible.

We encourage you to book your accommodation as early as you can, since it’s high tourist season in Yosemite and summer weekends book up quickly.

We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to book as soon as possible, no matter where you are planning to stay. August is the height of high season, and most places will book up months in advance.

Have friends coming?

Consider teaming up to share a cabin and split costs. Many of the cabins have sofa beds, and several even have bunks to accommodate additional people. If you need help finding someone to share with, let us know, and we will see what we can find.

Want something more budget friendly?

There’s a National Forest Service campground just down the road (Dimond O campground3 min drive/20 minute walk). We’ve reserved a few campsites there, so if you’re interested in this option, let us know and we can set you up at the campground. Since it’s Forest Service land, you could even go rogue and camp anywhere.

Only coming for one night?

That’s cool, although we do encourage you to come to the barbeque on Friday! Evergreen has a two-night minimum, although there are other hotels a little further away where you can stay for one night. Your best bet is probably the Yosemite Riverside Inn, which Google says is a 30-minute drive, or the Yosemite Lakes RV resort, which has yurts and cabins ranging from $150-$250.

Need other ideas?

  • Groveland is the closest town, at about 30-40 minute drive away. It has several B&Bs and hotels.
  • Evergreen is about a 1-hour drive from Yosemite Valley. You could stay in the valley, but we don’t really recommend it, since you’ll be driving back Saturday night late on a dark, windy road. If you want to check out the valley, consider staying for a few nights either before or after the wedding. Check out our travel recommendations page for more ideas on what to do on your Yosemite vacation!
